Platform: The galleries are hosted on the metaverse platform Spatial.io.
Access: To access the galleries scroll down and press “enter.” You will experience the galleries via an anonymous avatar. There is no need to sign in to Spatial.
Devices: If using a phone or tablet you will be asked to download the free Spatial.io app. This step is not required for desktop and laptop users.
Navigation: Once inside the gallery use the W, A, S, D or arrow keys to navigate the space.
Pro tip:
🏃♂️Run: Shift key while moving.
🐬 Somersault: Double Space Bar.
💃Dance: Numbers 1, 3, 4, 5.
🖐Wave: Number 2.
Maximise: Press the button on the bottom right of the gallery window for full screen.
Finding your child’s artwork: Once you are in your child’s class gallery, you can find their artwork by looking at the accompanying wall label and by pressing the magnifying glass in the top right corner of the artwork.
Download: Click on the magnifying glass and save it to your device.
Video: Each gallery includes an exhibition video with students describing the artworks. Once you have located the video, press play. Hint: The videos are centrally located and are not in art frames. They are signed with accompanying wall text.
Teleporting: To teleport between galleries, find the round portal. Walk your avatar up to the portal. Press the “F” key. It will ask you if you want to travel to the next gallery.
Troubleshooting: If you see this in the gallery window, refresh your browser.
